Five Ways To Beat The Mumbai Heat
I love India.  But damn, it can get hot there!  Ask my husband about the time I thought I died of heat stroke there.  If you want to avoid slipping into a vegetative, daylight-fearing, zombie-like existence, make your best efforts to avoid visiting during the pre-monsoon sweltering heat, when power cuts leave you nowhere to hide. If you’ve already made your vacation plans for April or May, here are 5 tips to cool you down.
1. Have a Fresh Lime Soda – Sweet or salted, depending on your mood.  Salt is helpful when you are sweating, but the sweet one is tastier, imo.  Don’t confuse this with a Sprite or 7Up - this is club soda, freshly squeezed lime juice, and either a simple sugar syrup, or a dash of salt.  Very refreshing.  Even better - pay a little extra to go into an a/c room of a restaurant and take your time sipping it inside.
2.  Go To The Mall – It’s air conditioned.  Enough said.
3.  See A Movie – Also air conditioned, and seeing a Bollywood movie in India is a very cool experience (pun intended) – a must do, in my humble opinion!
4.  Have A Mango Dolly – My brother-in-law introduced me to this mango version of a Dreamsicle ice cream.  Delicious, but eat it quickly, it will be dripping in no time!
5.  Take As Many Cold Showers A Day As You Can – The cool feeling will last all the way until you put clothes on, ha ha!
Any other tips?
